It has been over a year since the pandemic started. None of
us knew what was going to happen or when this virus will disappear. The whole
human race has suffered after the virus spread all around the world, but some
say that this had some advantages. Are there really some advantages of the
Covid-19 deadly virus?
First of all, getting over the fact that this disease has killed so many people (which is the main problem, actually), it affected the economy of the world in a very dramatic way. In March 2020, once the lockdown was imposed, many businesses went bankrupt just because people were not able to go to theaters, or eat at a restaurant, for example, anymore. Several commercial centers, cinemas, pubs and many others put the lock on their doors; many people lost their jobs; doctors, nurses and the whole medical staff decided to risk their lives in order to help the sick ones; all of these still continuing in the present day.
On the other hand, I personally think that there are also some advantages of this pandemic. Since we are still not able to do a lot of things (such as travelling, or going to cinemas or theaters), people got to spend a lot more time with their loved ones. Maybe some of us got closers to our parents, or to our siblings. This much free time that we had in the last year for sure helped us do that. Maybe some people saved the money they prepared for their holidays last year in a better and more effective way.
To sum up, even if this deadly virus created one of the worst tragedies that happened in the last centuries, I think it had its good aspects, which will have some good consequences in the near future.
